The Town and Village of Victor are located in the northwest corner of Ontario County bordering Monroe County. Victor is a growing town in an attractive location with reasonable commutes to Rochester and the Finger Lakes. The upscale retail center is a destination for much of the area and its residents. The Town & Village of Victor blend hometown charm with modern amenities.



Who Lives Here

The residents here are very well to do. The population of the town was 14,275 at the 2010 census. There are roughly 3,685 households of which 36.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them. The median income for a household is $59,349 and income for a family is about $71,000. For every 100 females over 18, there were 95.5 males.


Essentials

In addition to the retail center of the Town near Eastview Mall on Route 96, Victor has a small town business district that runs right through the heart of the Village – a short drive south on Route 96. There you will find a collection of retail and service businesses including; gift shops, ice cream parlor, barber, shop, specialty boutiques and great local restaurants. Everything is in walking distance.<



Recreation & Entertainment

Victor is easy to get to and close to everything including; golf courses, nearby skiing, great restaurants and extensive retail including Eastview Mall – which is just around the corner on Route 96. Residents enjoy extensive parks, trail systems and both active and passive programs including sports camps, leagues, art and culinary course and a many family-friendly events.



Transportation & Traffic

Victor is located at the junction of New York State Thruway (Interstate 90, Exit 45) and Route 490. Commuters can reach Syracuse or Buffalo in about an hour’s drive. The average one-way commute to downtown Rochester takes about 20 minutes (13 miles). Route 96 gets congested near East View Mall and through the village center during peak commute times.



Pros & Cons

Easy to get to and close to everything. Good school district, the residents are active in the community and you just feel safe walking around. The thriving retail center, abundant open spaces, and Village center make an appealing combination.
